The Stonehenge World Heritage Site in its Wider Context

Sunday 16^th – Friday 21^st October 2022

The itinerary included Stonehenge; Avebury – including the Museum & Church; West Kennet; Silbury; The Sanctuary; Durrington Walls; Woodhenge; Winterbourne Stoke Crossroads Barrows (pictured above); Knowlton Henge; and the Dorset Cursus. We also visited Salisbury Cathedral (including the stonemasons’ yard), Salisbury Museum, St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury and Devizes Museum.

The tour guide was Scott McCracken, who also gave two evening lectures.
