EMAS STUDY TOUR OF THE SCOTTISH BORDERS

16 – 23 April 2023

Our broad-ranging Spring 2023 tour – led once again by Scott McCracken – took us to medieval castles, towers, stately (and more humble) homes, abbeys, churches, and museums.

The trip: Coach to Edinburgh (1 day). 7 nights (B&B) at the King’s Manor Hotel, including a group dinner on the first night and two evening lectures. Coach back to London (1 day).

Visits were made tothe National Museum of Scotland; Edinburgh Castle; Roslin Chapel; Craigmillar Castle; Melrose Abbey; Melrose Museum; Dryburgh Abbey; Floors Castle; Kelso Abbey; Jedburgh Abbey; Smailholm Tower; Abbotsford House; Traquair House; and Hermitage Castle. Cost: Single room: £1,072.00. Double room: £1,724.00. The price includes a room with breakfast; dinner on the first night only; coach travel to and from London Baker Street and through the week; entry to all paid sites.
