Lecture – March 25 – Postscript

Following his very successful lecture on “The Mind’s Construction in the Face” which Michael presented to us in February, he returned with another excellent lecture.

He led us to investigate the evidence to be found in all forms of Greek art, regarding the cult of the Gods. He challenged our ideas of what artistic representation in its various forms could tell us about iconic cult figures.

We saw that when you know what to look for, so much can be found in the visual arts.

And judging by the interesting questions from members at the end, and the warmth of the appreciation shown, once again Michael had done us proud.
